We all know how much I LOVE my leggings! Owning about 15 pairs (10 of them being black) I was very pleased to find out that they will still be in style for a while! At fall fashion week, every runway saw a pair or three. Marc Jacobs showed a sparkly evening version. Gucci’s were shiny and thick. Max Azria’s leggings toughen up a chiffon dress. Love them or hate them, they’re here to stay
Connie Culp, who underwent the first face transplant surgery in the U.S., showed off her new face today for the first time. The 46-year-old mother of two lost most of the midsection of her face to a gunshot in 2004. The shooter was her husband.
Sarah Jessica Park and Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls with help of a surrogate mother! Allegedly the couple has been trying to add to their family ever since their 6-year-old son James Wilkie was born. A Source says “They had a lot of unsuccessful tries,” says a friend. “They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family.”
The couples rep says they are “overjoyed” and that they “are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate.”
Kinda related to the last post on plastic surgery… Photographer Stephen Meisel has shot every Vogue Italia cover for the last 20 years and nine months, including this one: “Makeover Madness.”
Three Hundred and Seventeen and Counting, his third photography book, was released this week, featuring supermodels going to rehab, plastic surgery and B-list celebrities posing on the red carpet.
A site called MyFreeImplants.com pairs desparate, plastic-surgery-seeking women up with equally desparate, horny men. The site claims these women just have to “interact” with their “benefactors” by chatting them up and sending “custom” pics and vids. In exchange, the rich, old dudes give them money for their surgery. I just threw up a little.
Everyone knows I love handbags… here is the latest and most un-fashionable bag I found.
Writing an email, text, or book aren’t the only things you can do with a keyboard. You can let one hold all your junk and accessorize your outfit. That is, if you have a Keybag designed by João Sabino. Each Keybag is made from 393 keys or key fragments arranged in random order. Although its not my thing…. its available in red, pink, black, and white, no tech-savvy fashionista or writer should be without one!
Last night I watched Steve O’s new show “Demise and Rise” and I must say I was very disturbed. I mean I knew the guy was on drugs, but not this bad. He admits that during all of his “JACKASS” shows and movies he was extremely high. I guess you would have to be to be doing the things he did. You see Steve-O huffing from nitrous cannisters, snorting cocaine, and chugging liters of alchol. There’s always the worry with a documentary like this that lots of people are going to look at it and say, “Oh, so you can go out, act like an abusing, abusive screw-up, get famous and make money, and then pull yourself together: I wanna try that!” But Demise and Rise makes most of Steve-O’s adult years look absolutely miserable and pathetic. It’s the best kind of warning lesson. Glad you’re sober, Steve-O!
